Milad Nicolas was born in 1945 in Dahr Laisini, North Lebanon. He attended the government school in Baino for his primary education, and St Joseph's - Friars Minor Capuchin at Batroun for his secondary education.
After high school, he was offered a teaching job in south Lebanon but instead migrated to Australia in 1970 with his brother John. In Melbourne, Milad worked at St Vincent’s Hospital before moving into hospitality with his wife Nelly and brother John.
Milad's passion for writing continued to grow, and he started to write short stories and articles as well as poetry. He also became an active member of the Lebanese community in Melbourne, contributing to cultural events and publications.
Despite being away from his homeland, Milad maintained a strong connection to Lebanon, and his writing often reflects on his Lebanese heritage. Today, Milad Nicolas is an accomplished poet and writer with several published works to his name.
